Multi-Table
Poker Tournaments
Ultimate Bet's
multi-table poker tournaments are just
what they sound like - poker
tournaments where players at multiple
tables vie for their share of a larger
prize. To ensure that they run as smoothly
as possible, our multi-table poker tournaments
are scheduled in advance. Players can
register for them up to the tournament's
start time. Buy-ins for all of our poker
tournaments are listed in terms of the
amount that goes towards the prize pool,
and the amount that the house keeps. For
instance, if a tournament costs $1+0,
$1 will go towards to prize pool and the
house will keep $0. If the tournament
costs $100+9 though, $100 will go towards
the prize pool and the house will keep
$9 from each entry. Rake is not collected
from hands during one of our poker
tournaments.

Direct
Entry Satellites
There
are four ways to enter poker tournaments
at Ultimate Bet.com. You can buy-in using
cash or points, you can win a direct entry
into a specific tournament or you can
use Tournament
Entry Chips.
Entry into a specific tournament is won
by playing into designated multi-table
direct entry satellite events. Each satellite
awards multiple direct entries depending
on the number of players who enter, the
buy-in to the direct entry satellite and
the buy-in to the tournament it is tied
to.
Each direct-entry satellite is tied to
a specific event that will occur at a
later date. When you win a direct entry
in one of these satellites you are winning
a seat into the event that the satellite
is tied to. For example, if you were to
play a $5+.50 direct entry satellite tied
to a $50+5 event you would be vying for
a seat in that $50+5 event. If you won
a seat, you would be automatically registered
for the event at no further cost to you!
Where
do I Find a Schedule of Direct Entry Events?
Please
note that Direct Entry Satellites are
tied to specific poker tournaments. When
you win an entry into one of our events,
you will not be allowed to withdraw and
get a refund. We recommend that you ensure
that you will be available to play in
the poker tournament for which you are
competing prior to joining a direct entry
satellite.
Can
I Transfer my Entry to Another Player?
No.
Make sure when you play a direct entry
multi-table satellite that you will be
available to play in the event that it
ties to. If you cannot play you will not
be allowed to transfer the entry to another
player.
Rebuy
Poker Tournaments
Ultimate Bet.com
was the first online poker site to offer
rebuy poker tournaments to its players!
Specific rules may vary based on our tournament
listings, but this section will provide
you with the information you'll need for
most of our rebuy poker tournaments.
How
do Rebuys in Poker Tournaments work?
Players
buy-in to one of our poker tournaments
for the correct buy-in amount (e.g. $10+1).
In this case, just like non-rebuy poker
tournaments, $10 goes to the prize pool,
and $1 goes to the house. This entitles
the player to start with 1000 tournament
chips. A rebuy period (normally 5 12-minute
blind escalations or, the first hour of
the tournament) is specified for the event.
During the rebuy period in our poker tournaments,
players may buy back into the tournament
a fixed number of times, or unlimited
times depending on how the tournament
is set up (typically unlimited rebuys
in the first hour). Players can pay an
additional amount to rebuy (cost is the
award portion of the buy-in, or in the
case of the example above, $10) at any
time during the rebuy period (including
before the tournament starts) right up
until the end of the rebuy period, provided
they have 1000 or less chips. At the end
of the rebuy period, eligible players
(those with 1000 or less chips and have
not used all of their allowed rebuys for
the period) will automatically be asked
if they want to rebuy. In addition, if
a player goes broke during the tournament,
play will stop, and the player will automatically
be asked if they want to rebuy.
At the conclusion of the rebuy period,
a rebuy tournament may also allow one
optional add-on. The add-on is only available
once, and it is only available at the
end of the rebuy period. The add-on is
the same cost as the rebuy. It is available
to all players regardless of how many
chips they currently have. It grants an
additional 1000 chips to the player.
Provided players are eligible to rebuy/add-on,
they may do so manually by clicking on
"get chips" in the lower-right. As mentioned,
players will automatically be prompted
to rebuy if they go broke during the rebuy
period and/or at the conclusion of the
rebuy period provided they have adequate
funds in their account.
100% of rebuy and add-on funds are added
to the prize pool. While the number of
entrants in a tournament may change the
number of places that pay, the number
of rebuys/add-ons does NOT influence the
number of places that pay in standard
rebuy poker tournaments. It only increases
the amount that each place pays.
Information about the number of rebuys
allowed, the amount of time in the rebuy
period, and whether there is an add-on
is posted at the top of the tournament
information details page for the tournament.
Rebuy
Aruba Super Satellite Tournaments
Aruba
Super Satellites with rebuys follow the
same rules as standard rebuy poker tournaments
with a couple of exceptions. First, rebuys/add-ons
may influence the number of places that
pay. They may in fact increase the number
of Aruba trips that are awarded. For example,
if 110 players sign up for an Aruba Super
Satellite, the initial prize pool will
award 1 Aruba trip, and 9 other places
cash. However, if 11 people rebuy/add-on,
the event will pay out as if 121 players
signed up, awarding 2 Aruba Trips and
the remainder of the cash to 3rd place.
Second, players can use their Aruba Satellite
Entry to rebuy. For example: If each Aruba
Super Satellite Entry is worth $109, if
it is used to rebuy, $9 cash will be credited
back to the player's account.

Alternates
Alternates
Are Now Available!
Have trouble making it to a tournament
before it starts? No problem, we've just
added Alternates as an
option on all our real money poker tournaments.
In a non-rebuy tournament,
Alternates can register up until the beginning
of the first blind level and will be allowed
to be seated up until the end of the second
blind level.
For players waiting to get into a rebuy
event, Alternates can register up until
the end of the rebuy period and can be
seated up until the end of the Add On
period. To find an event offering Alternates,
look for poker tournaments with "Open
- Alt" listed in the Status section.
Alternates are charged the buy-in upon
registering, and are prompted to confirm
payment of the buy-in when a seat is available
for them. If you decline your seat, the
buy-in is refunded to you. Alternates
on the waiting list can 'unregister' at
any time until seated. In the event that
a seat does not become available for an
Alternate, refunds will be made after
the 1st break or at the end of the rebuy
period, if the player has not unregistered
prior. After signing up as an Alternate
you will receive a popup confirmation
and your name will be viewable in the
Alternates list. Once a seat is available
you will be prompted with a popup confirming
you want to play and the amount of the
buy-in.
If you choose not to play, your buy-in
will be refunded to your poker
account.
In the event that a seat does not become
available, your buy- in will be refunded
to your poker
account. |
